Insightify ("we", "our", or "us") is a Shopify application developed by Easy Build Labs. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

By installing and using Insightify, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

When you install and use Insightify, we collect the following information:

• Shopify store data: Your store name, domain, and access tokens required to authenticate with Shopify's API.
• Product reviews: We access your Judge.me product reviews to perform AI analysis. This includes review text, ratings, and product names.
• Session data: Authentication session tokens stored securely in our database to maintain your login state.
• Usage data: Information about how you interact with our app, such as which features you use.

We do not collect personal information about your customers, order data, payment information, or any data beyond what is necessary to provide the review analysis service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide AI-powered analysis of your Judge.me product reviews
• Generate actionable insights and recommendations for your store
• Authenticate your session and maintain app functionality
• Improve the accuracy and quality of our AI analysis
• Provide customer support when needed

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

Insightify integrates with the following third-party services to provide its functionality:

• Judge.me: We access your Judge.me reviews via their API to perform analysis. Judge.me's privacy policy can be found at judge.me/privacy.
• Google Gemini AI (Anthropic): Review data is sent to Google's Gemini AI API to generate insights and recommendations. Review text is processed but not permanently stored by Google beyond their standard API terms. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
• Shopify: We use Shopify's API and billing infrastructure. Shopify's privacy policy: shopify.com/legal/privacy.
• Neon (Database): We use Neon PostgreSQL to securely store session data and action items. Neon's privacy policy: neon.tech/privacy-policy.
• Vercel (Hosting): Our app is hosted on Vercel. Vercel's privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in our PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted database connections
• Secure session token management
• Access controls limiting who can access your data

Review analysis results are cached temporarily to improve performance. Cached data is associated only with your store domain and is never shared with other merchants.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you have our app installed on your Shopify store.

• Session data: Retained while the app is installed
• Action items: Retained until you delete them or uninstall the app
• AI cache: Automatically refreshed with each new analysis

When you uninstall Insightify, we will delete all your store data within 30 days in accordance with Shopify's app requirements.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights:

• Right to access: Request a copy of the data we hold about your store
• Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data
• Right to portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Right to object: Object to our processing of your data

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. We only share data with the third-party services listed in Section 4 as necessary to provide our service.

Insightify is designed for use by Shopify merchants and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
